Buhl is also home to one of the nicest skateboard parks out there. Located near our city park at the corner of 6th Avenue North and Poplar Streets, it was built in 2005. The skateboard park was designed and built in a collaboration with Dreamland Skateparks, and has been host to many organized skateboarding events and is a popular attraction with many people from Buhl and neighboring cities. The skateboard park is open to the public year round, weather permitting, from sunrise to sunset every day. More information about the park is available on Dreamland Skateparks website,http://dreamlandskateparks2.wordpress.com/projects/idaho/buhl/


The City of Buhl was founded in 1906 and named for Frank H. Buhl. The City of Buhl is located in south central Idaho, in western Twin Falls County near the Snake River Canyon and along the old Oregon Trail and the 1000 Springs Scenic Byway on U.S. Highway 30. Buhl has an elevation of 3,770 feet above sea level, and is precisely located a 42º36'0"N 114º45'43"W. Buhl has approximately 4200 residents, and covers 1.82 square miles. Buhl hails itself as the "Trout Capital of the World" due to the large trout hatcheries that operate in the area, and the large hatcheries and processing facilities in and around Buhl send trout products all over the world.

Buhl boasts a variety of other industries and features many activities and events throughout the entire year. Buhl is host to the Sagebrush Days Parade and festival on July 4th each year. Our parade is one of the finest around, and the events for the Sagebrush Days also include a 5k fun run/walk, food and merchandise vendors in the City Park, concerts, fun and games for the whole family. The culmination of the event is the fireworks presentation just after sundown.
